    • Adirondack Quilt Camp:

      6th Annual – Adirondack Quilt Camp
      Coming June 26th – June 29th, 2016.

      Talented artisans, hobbyists, beginners, and teachers are invited to participate in this exciting event in the Town of Long Lake, NY. This year features 20 classes, 11 award winning instructors, kids classes, vending on site, evening programs. Beautiful location, charming, relaxing and a great way to start the summer.

    • 4th of July Games:

      Everyone’s most favorite event. What don’t we do on 4th of July? Kids Games, Prizes for everyone and ice cream cones too. Egg Toss, Hula Hoop, Sack Races, Scavenger Hunt. It’s tradition and small town. Quaint and charming. The games begin at 10am still at the Long Lake ball field. Bed Races at 2pm. Live Music on the LL Town Beach at 6:30pm. Fireworks at dusk.

      Note: New Start time for 2016! 2pm. That means get your bed to the races EARLY! Vie for the championship! Race down from the bridge to the beach on your bed. Decorate it, theme it up and intimidate your competitors. The competition is fierce! That’s why we have judges and hay bales lining the street! MC Peter Michael Marino entertains the crowd by interviewing passers by and members of the crowd. 10 entries maximum. Register today! Be in the game and push your way to victory. 1st Place 2015 Winners, The Cellar Restaurant and Pub. The trophy waits for the next victorious team to claim their prize. (Even though it did take a dip at the bottom of the lake)

      If you’re looking for something completely different, you just found it. Welcome to the exciting world of Show Skiing.

      We’re the U.S. Water Ski Show Team−an all-volunteer, non-profit, family oriented organization. Our goal is to leverage the diverse talents of our membership to produce and perform the highest caliber water ski shows available anywhere in the Northeast.

      The team has delighted tens of thousands of spectators over it’s proud 40 year history: but we’re not resting on past achievements, we’re focused squarely on the future. Training and development programs, learn-to-ski sessions and community involvement are all core to our team values.

      So if you’re just looking for a great way to spend an enjoyable evening with family and friends, or you’d like to be part of the action, you’ve come to the right place. Just take a minute to explore the site and by all means “enjoy the show!”

    • The Amazing Road Rally Race:

      Open to everyone as long as there is a licensed driver. What is a Chinese Fire Drill? Ever done the alphabet backwards? Hunt for snipe! It’s not the fastest that wins it’s the closest time and Winner takes the purse! It’s a scavenger hunt meets the ministry of silly walks meets It’s a Mad Mad Mad World.

      Unearth the secrets of Long Lake and make some new memories!

      Rules: Driver & Navigator. Fit as many as you can into your car. Make sure there are at least two of you so someone can drive. Follow a list of instructions like a treasure hunt and try to get as close to the “professionally” tested time as possible.

    • Long Lake Paddling Olympics:

      Friday, July 22nd, 2016. It’s fun, it’s cool and kooky! Boat races for all ages. Try your hand at wild, wet, fun aquatic navigational competition. Registration is free. Look for zany races including Bang and Go Back, Standing Paddling, Hand Paddling, Dress up Relay, Kayak Races, The Dipper, Back Paddling, Hurry Scurry and many more! Boats and Lifejackets provided. The Long Lake Lions Club sells a great BBQ and the lifeguards are on duty if you want to swim. Sponsored by the LL Association. Free registration 10:30am. Races start at 11am.

      Saturday, July 16, 2016, 11am – 1pm (before the Waterski Show)
      Thursday, August 11th 2016
      Long Lake Town Beach. 5pm. Cardboard Box Float Races. Make your boat out of cardboard and duct tape provided by the Town of Long Lake. Bring a picnic, order food from a local restaurant, eat take out on the beach! Bring your chairs and your blankets. Games & prizes for kids. All ages welcome. Come by boat, plane, feet or car.

    • Bob Milne in Concert:

      The world reknowned Ragtime Boogie Woogie Pianist always makes sure he stops in Long Lake and this year he’s playing Raquette Lake too! Bob Milne has wowed Presidents, diplomats, school children, international audiences and he’s been declared a National Treasure by the US LIbrary of Congress. This is a do-not-miss performance by the best Ragtime Piano player in the world!

      Durant Days:

      August 5 7th, 2016

      W.W.Durant crafted a narrative of the Adirondacks that remains relevant to this day. Celebrate the birth of Great Camps Architecture in Raquette Lake and remind a day gone by when waterways were the highways.

      Durant Days is a celebration of the rich history of Architecture and it’s place in the historical landscape of the Adirondacks. Don’t miss out on tours of Camp Pine Knot, and St. Williams Church and Great Camp Sagamore. W. W. Durant had a hand in its development from the start, but especially after 1879, when tourism to the area exploded.

      Saturday: Concert by Wide Variety at 2pm, RL School
      Boat Parade and Fireworks at Dusk

      Bass Fishing Derby:

      Both Raquette Lake and Long Lake Fish and Game Clubs hold Bass Fishing Derbies in the summer months for substantial cash prizes. Register early to secure your place as contestants are limited. Winners for total weight of five fish. 1 lb. penalty for each dead fish. Deduction of 1lb per minute/penalty for late return. Prize money, lunker pool and live well inspection.

      RondeauFest is a music fest in Long Lake, NY highlighting local and regional bands. In 2016 there will be Funk, Rock, Surf, Dancing and Classic Country Rock.       In 2016 look for the Hamilton County Trailblazer Trips, Monday Movie Nights and much much more. Kids enjoy the Youth Center open Tuesday – Thursday evenings at 7pm at the Mt. Sabattis Recreation Area. Open to kids ages 9 – 16. Wii is available, basketball courts, tennis, games. Plenty of tennis rackets, basketballs, a foosball table, arts and crafts. Sign in is required. A safe place for the kids to go monitored by Parks and Recreation staff. Volunteers welcome to donate time to sponsor a fun program including pick up basketball games, charades, music night, arts and crafts.
