Every year is slightly different but we love to hold onto the many wonderful traditions of the past. Look below to find an activity, music or other event that might tickle you happy on this festive and pride driven holiday.

Attention all, fireworks at dusk, a show not to be missed and everyone is a winner (great prizes) at the 11am games at the Long Lake ball field.

4th of July
    • July 2nd.   |   Strawberry Shortcake Sale

      Stop in to the Raquette Lake Fire hall for the annual Strawberry Shortcake Sale.  To Go’s are available.  Visit with friends & Free area information available.

    • July 2nd   |   “PUTTIN’ ON THE RITZ, Jazz Performance”:

      “Puttin’ On the Ritz” performs at Raquette Lake School.  This jazz band was a huge hit last year, don’t miss out on a great show.

    • July 4th   |   Long Lake 4th of July Games: 10AM

      Everyone’s most favorite event!. What don’t we do on 4th of July? Sleep in, this year only!  Kids Games on the LL Ball Field.  Egg toss, sack races three legged race, classic games for all  & great FREE prizes (every kid’s a winner).

      Fire Department serves up BBQ. Popcorn Man returns. Penelope the Clown paints faces & entertains the kids.

    • July 4th    |   Ernie Williams – Blues Legend:

      Blues Legend, Ernie Williams, from Albany, NY performs at the Long Lake Town Beach. Ernie Williams, an extraordinarily talented musician, has paid his dues and has won the right to take his place among the legends of the blues. His voice – “the voice” – is instantly recognized and personifies “the blues”. IF RAINING: Join us as the LL Town Hall.

      • July 4th   |   The Bed Races. They’re Back!!!:

      Remember the day when we strapped on our best head band, headed to the beach, turned up “the Boss” and hopped on a bed to see who could cross the finish line first? Well those days are back baby! $10 a bed.  Location – Long Lake Bridge to Beach pending NYS DOT approval or Long Lake Central School. 5pm. Come on, you know you want to!

      Best show in town. Watch from your boat or bridge or beach, or find your new best friend with a camp a cross from the causeway across from the town beach for Long Lakes best firework show yet. We put a lot of effort into this one so make sure you come and going in on the fun.
