The Long Lake Library was established by the Town of Long Lake as a reading room in December 2003 to provide library service to people living in the Town of Long Lake New York, and surrounding areas.   Operating all year long, the Cornelius Vanderbilt Long Lake Library offers programs and services for the entire community.

The Raquette Lake Library is part of the Southern Adirondack Library System providing on-line services as well as service to the entire community of Raquette Lake.  The Raquette Lake Library sponsors Wednesday evening programming throughout the summer.

    • Summer Children’s Reading Program “Make a Splash”:

      Join us for a fantastic journey through magical forests or coral reefs or maybe into a pond. Just sit back and listen as one of our staff member picks a delightful story that will have everyone engaged. Have any suggestions? Let the staff know and maybe they’ll read your favorite tale next time.

    • “Adirondecor” Silent Auction:

    Silent auction that takes place during the month of July. Stop in and see our wonderful items up for bid, beautiful hand-painted children’s Adirondack chairs. Proceeds to benefit the Long Lake Public Library. These great chairs for a great cause and would make a lovely gift for grandchildren.
