It’s not everyday the New York Times writes about the Adirondacks so it is pretty exciting when they do. Then to find out it features mentions of our own Helms Aero Service, Long Lake, Raquette Lake and Payne’s Seaplane Service.
There are only two seaplane businesses operating in the Adirondacks and both are located in Hamilton County, the third largest county east of the Mississippi with the lowest population… (wrap your head around that)
What makes us unique (besides our quaint, friendly town with a vibrant business community open year-round) is our access to incredible forest, getaways and camping seclusion.
