4th of July Celebration
In 2020 things will look different in Long Lake & Raquette Lake. Long Lake’s beach will close earlier than normal, times to be announced.
There will NOT be any traditional activities in the early evening. There will not be live music, popcorn, strawberry shortcake, Penelope the Clown or a BBQ. We are so sad to see those traditions not happen in 2020, but we look forward to their return in 2021.
The Town of Long Lake has not announced any plans for fireworks at this time. NYS Guidelines on fireworks are pending. Currently there are no mass gatherings over 50.
The Long Lake Town Beach will be closed to public gatherings at 6pm on July 4th. No congregation will be permitted after the Beach is closed. Bathrooms will remain open for our temporary traffic and for boat traffic.
In the event groups choose to gather in any public spaces all groups must be spaced out minimum of 10 feet.
Raquette Lake Fireworks are 100% cancelled for 2020.
For any and all events in public spaces and at our local area businesses please note all physical distancing protocols are in place. Maintain six feet apart and please wear masks/cloth face-coverings when visiting public spaces and businesses in our community when you are less than six feet apart from others.
