The Long Lake Historical Society announces the 2024 Membership Drive, along with the first of the 2024 exhibits. Some historical items will be on display at both the Nutrition Site (on left side of LL Town Hall) located at 1204 Main Street, Long Lake, NY and the Mt. Sabattis Recreation Area (Geiger Arena) at 6 Pavilion Lane, Long Lake, NY during Winter Wonderland Week from February 16th – February 25th.
The Nutrition Site/Town Hall will feature “From Boats to Kazoos” a historical retrospective featuring an original Geo. W. Smith Guideboat, photos and ephemera from the days of yore including info about local guidebooks, canoes, and info on The Buttercup Steamboat. Enjoy a trip down memory lane with items and photos from the treasured Long Lake Kazoo Band.
