About the AC

The Arts Center serves as a presenter, producer and educator in the artistic disciplines of visual arts, theater, music, dance, and film throughout the Adirondack region.
ACTIVITIES:
The Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts produces professional theater in the summer (2 musicals, Shakespeare in the Park, plus 1 site-specific production) and in the off-season produces community performances featuring local talent. In collaboration with other organizations, the Arts Center presents concerts (classical, instrumental, world music, folk, bluegrass, punk, rock) and dance performances (modern, ballet, hip hop, ballroom, African, tap). Our Arts Education Initiative offers 4 comprehensive learning programs (Theater Experience, Film-making 101, Arts from the Start: Early Childhood Learning, Studio Arts Series) for students from preschool to retired professionals, plus a multi-arts program for the developmentally disabled (The Living Able Series). Artists exhibit (sculpture, ceramics, painting, drawing, fiber arts, jewelry, glass, photography) in our 5 on-site galleries and in satellite galleries.
