Learn about the life and work of famed American photographer Seneca Ray Stoddard.
This event will focus on the life of Stoddard and center on pictures he took in Long Lake and the surrounding area.
At 5pm the documentary Seneca Ray Stoddard: An American Original will be screened, followed by light refreshments provided by the Historical Society, then a slide show by discussion by Stoddard expert and local author Dr Daniel Way.
After the movie, discussion and slide show, Dr Way will be hosting a book signing for his latest book, Seneca Ray Stoddard: An Intimate Portrait of an Adirondack Legend as well answering any questions. Throughout the event there will be other copies of local Stoddard pictures to view, courtesy of Long Laker Jimmy Cooney. Hallie Bond, Long Lake Town Historian will also be on hand to offer insight and answer any questions about Seneca Ray Stoddard.
