For Heaven’s Sake in Concert, St. Williams Summer Concert Series

JULY 9
7 p.m., For Heaven’s Sake, In concert at St. Williams on Long Point, Raquette Lake. Based in Watertown, New York, For Heaven’s Sake is an award-winning quartet that has been entertaining audiences of all ages since 1994, singing four-part harmony in the barbershop style. Four fun and fantastic ladies, Lynn Blakeney (lead), Mary Ann Wert (baritone), Katie (Wert) Taylor (bass) and Lorie (Wert) Autote (tenor) perform a healthy dose of good ‘ole’ barbershop harmony! Their natural blend and tight harmonies propelled them forward in competitions and within two years of joining together, For Heaven’s Sake went on to win Harmony, Inc.’s International Quartet Championships in Saint John, New Brunswick. As the 1996 International Quartet Champions they are commonly referred to as “Harmony Queens.” They hold the distinct honor of being the “oldest” active Queen quartet in Harmony, Inc….ouch!
