Saturday, Feb 15th – Mt. Sabattis Geiger Arena. The other ½ of the family will be in Long Lake starting at 12noon located at 6 Pavilion Way/Entrance 1100 Deerland Road. We’d hit the LL skating races and snowman building. Always a fun crowd at the Geiger Arena and I’m sure to win bragging rights with my superior skating skills! DJ music with Pat Bedore and Andrew McClelland, hot chocolate and yummy snacks. See Erin and ask her about the Ice Dancing Competition!
MAGIC SHOW! Yes at 2pm Jim Perry, the Magician will be at the Raquette Lake Library. Grab some yummy cookies and enjoy the show. It’s free! I wonder if he can make people disappear? We’ll spend the rest of the day in Raquette Lake playing Golf on the lake. Then there’s the bonfire, and fireworks at dusk and the Winter Boat and the Tap Room. I’m IN! Thanks to Mike, Murray, Kat, Tommy, Wayne, Sue and everyone in Raquette Lake for pulling this event together!

SNOWMOBILING. I can’t believe I haven’t gone sledding yet this week. So today I’m hitting over 70 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. I’m going to loop from Long Lake, Newcomb Indian Lake to Raquette Lake and then back to Long Lake. I’ll even try the 7th Lake Mountain trail through the Moose River Plains that NYS installed last year. I know it needs more work, but I want to try it before the season ends and I’ll go slow, I PROMISE! How cool is it to connect and loop all the way around?
