Covid-19 Safety Protocols at the Long Lake Medical Center
In anticipation of summer, and the arrival of welcome visitors from anywhere and everywhere, the way we are scheduling doctor appointments has changed. We have been instructed “from above” to strive for telehealth visits in preference to face-to-face visits. It makes more sense for one to have a telehealth visit withone’s own doctor, so we will be advising those who are not our patients to call their own doctor. Those who cannot be cared for by a telehealth visit with their own doctor and request an appointment at the office of Russell E. Rider, MD will be required to complete our pre-visit Covid-19 screening questionnaire. You canprint one out right here on the Long Lake website, pick up a bright pink copy in the foyer of the Town Hall or outside the front door of the medical building. You will need to drop the completed form off in the marked lockbox outside the medical building front door no more than 24 hours prior to your appointment or at your scheduled appointment time. We must have the completed form beforeany service can take place. Please arrive 20 minutes early for your appointment to complete paperwork. You must bring your driver’s license, insurance card(s) and some form of payment.
Please note that everyone will remain in their car until escorted in by a staff member. You MUST come wearing a mask and will be required to wear it during your visit. We hope this way of “doing things” will go back to normal very soon.
As much of an inconvenience as it is for you, we too are very inconvenienced!
Thank you for understanding and have a safe summer.
