1200     Long Lake Memorial Day Parade begins at LL Town Hall 1204 Main Street, Long Lake NY & School Road with participants marching to LL Cemetery.  
 
1230    Long Lake Local Ceremony at the Cemetery

13:30   Line Up for Hamilton County Parade at Mt. Sabattis Upper Parking Lot next to Tennis Courts. (all those not marching/participating in the first parade) Vehicles line up along South Hill Road. Please keep Vietnam Memorial clear of vehicles.

Commander “Bob” Crocetta assumed responsibility as Overhaul Project Officer on 19 October 2017.

 

Commander “Bob” Crocetta to Speak at Long Lake/Hamilton County Memorial Day Parade. 

Enlisting in 1988, he was designated as an Electrician’s Mate following graduation from Nuclear Field ‘A’ School in Orlando, Florida.  Upon graduation from Nuclear Power Training pipeline, he reported to USS BAINBRIDGE (CGN 25), where he deployed to the Persian Gulf in support of Operations DESERT SHIELD and DESERT STORM.  His next assignment was to Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN 77) where he was designated as Plankowner.  He then transferred to Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, serving as Ship Superintendent for submarine repair.  During this tour, he was selected as the 1999 Sailor of the Year and selected for commission by the FY 2001 Limited Duty Officer Selection Board.

Ashore, he served as the R4 Division Officer and Planning and Estimating Officer at Naval Submarine Support Facility (NSSF) New London Connecticut, Assistant Project Officer at Supervisor of Shipbuilding Newport News for the CVN 72 Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH), and as S8G Prototype Refueling Overhaul Project Officer at Nuclear Power Training Unit Ballston Spa, New York.
 
Afloat and staff tours include a tour in USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65), where he served as the Electrical Technical Assistant, deployed in March 2001, which included combat operations in Afghanistan in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, following the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001.  Follow on sea tours included Auxiliaries Officer in USS GEORGE H. W. BUSH (CVN 77), Reactor Mechanical Assistant in USS HARRY S. TRUMAN (CVN 75), and as Aft Station Officer in USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65).

His awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (eight awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), and other personal, service, and unit awards.
