Summer is simply a magical time to experience Long Lake & Raquette Lake. It is a time for tradition. Like our 4th of July festivities celebrating our freedom. We know you are anxiously awaiting a return to Long Lake, NY & Raquette Lake, NY in 2021 and we can’t wait to have you visit. We are working on our safety strategies now to best meet the safety needs of our visitors and second home-owners who are so vital to the heartbeat of our community that we just want to ensure everyone we are working hard to figure it all out.
With that said, everything is constantly evolving and we are working with our local Hamilton County Public Health Department and our North Country Region to bring you all the up to date information.
We know everyone waits all year for a special vacation in Long Lake and we are doing everything we can to have us up and ready for you with our best practices in place throughout our community for the summer season.

4th of July 2021:
DUSK (APPROX 9:30ISH) –Fireworks.
Current NYS DOH Regulations only permit 200 people at outdoor events with masks and social distancing or if we raise the size to offer space for 500 we will need proof of vaccine OR proof of Covid-19 Negative Test within 3 days of event. NYS residents can download the Excelsior Pass to their phone after vaccination.
We anticipate these rules will be updated before July 4th, but in case these rules are still in place on July 4th – please be prepared.
We don’t expect children to be vaccinated as they are not currently eligible to receive the vaccine, but we will require all participants and spectators to wear masks, even outdoors during this event.
10am. The Annual 4th of July Games will begin on the Town Ball Field, Sponsored by the Town of Long Lake. Games for all ages! Classic favorites include small children scavenger hunt, balloon race, sack races, the venerable egg toss, and three-legged race. Children enjoy collecting their winnings from our exclusive prize booth.
6p.m. the Annual 4th of July Celebration will begin at the Town Beach. ** See Covid-19 rules above. Sponsored by the Town of Long Lake. Live music by Grit and Grace will be performed at the Town Beach. Attendees to the Beach concert will have to show proof of vaccine OR a Covid-19 Negative test within 3 days before entry to the viewing area at the beach. All guests are required to wear masks and space groups out at least 6-10 feet apart. ** All rules subject to change without notice.
