We know you are anxiously awaiting a return to Long Lake, NY in 2020 and we can’t wait to have you visit. We are working on our safety strategies now to best meet the safety needs of our visitors and second home-owners who are so vital to the heartbeat of our community that we just want to ensure everyone we are working hard to figure it all out.
With that said, everything is constantly evolving and we are working with our local Hamilton County Public Health Department and our North Country Region to bring you all the up to date information.
We know it’s an anxious time and you live for your vacation in Long Lake and we are doing everything we can to have us up and ready for you with our best practices in place throughout our community for the summer season.

4th of July Games:
Everyone’s most favorite event. What don’t we do on 4th of July? Kids Games, Prizes for everyone and ice cream cones too. Egg Toss, Hula Hoop, Sack Races, Scavenger Hunt. It’s tradition and small town. Quaint and charming. The games begin at 10am still at the Long Lake ball field. The Long Lake Fire Department serves up traditional feast of Sausage and Peppers on the beach starting mid-afternoon. Live Music on the LL Town Beach at 6:30pm. Fireworks at dusk.

Join the Ladies Auxiliary at 2 p.m. – 6 p.m., at the Raquette Lake Village Green for a fundraiser with live music with Matt Grainger. Vendors will be on site including: Mary Blanchard’s South Bay Jewelry, RC (David) Oster Painting, Pampered Chef, Life in the ADK, Pat Deyle’s Hand Carving, Local Artisan’s and the Knitting Ladies! Monday Night Soccer | Long Lake Ballfield | Monday’s 6pm
Monday Night soccer is a summer tradition in Long Lake. Join Coach Jim Piraino on the Long Lake Ball Field every Monday at 6:00pm to run drills and games. Kids entering 7th grade and up are invited to participate. It’s a great way to build skills, build on the fundamentals and gear up for the fall season.
Kids Art Classes with Cindy Black | Wednesday’s | 1pm – 3pm
Kids draw iconic Adirondack Wildlife. All levels welcome to participate. $5 per class. All art materials are provided. Walk in’s are welcome.

We’re the U.S. Water Ski Show Team−an all-volunteer, non-profit, family oriented organization. Our goal is to leverage the diverse talents of our membership to produce and perform the highest caliber water ski shows available anywhere in the Northeast.
The team has delighted tens of thousands of spectators over it’s proud 40 year history: but we’re not resting on past achievements, we’re focused squarely on the future. Training and development programs, learn-to-ski sessions and community involvement are all core to our team values.
So if you’re just looking for a great way to spend an enjoyable evening with family and friends, or you’d like to be part of the action, you’ve come to the right place. Just take a minute to explore the site and by all means “enjoy the show!”

Long Lake Paddling Olympics:
Friday, July 24, 2020. It’s fun, it’s cool and kooky! Boat races for all ages. Try your hand at wild, wet, fun aquatic navigational competition. Registration is free. Look for zany races including Bang and Go Back, Standing Paddling, Hand Paddling, Dress up Relay, Kayak Races, The Dipper, Back Paddling, Hurry Scurry and many more! Boats and Lifejackets provided. The Long Lake Lions Club sells a great BBQ and the lifeguards are on duty if you want to swim. Sponsored by the LL Association. Free registration 10:30am. Races start at 11am.
Celebrating the Birth of Great Camps Architecture in Raquette Lake, NY
This is a weekend of activities in celebration of William West Durant, the inventor of the Great Camps Style Architecture, which was started right here in Raquette Lake.

Author’s Night at Hoss’s Country Corner:
Always the second Tuesday in August at Hoss’s Country Corner. Adirondack Author’s converge under the big red tent to sign autography, showcase their work. Meet the Author’s. Purchase your favorite books, get your souvenir shopping in with a personalized writer’s touch. The wide range of authors include fiction, comedy, Adirondack Lore and history, maps, paddling, hiking.
