Looking for an exciting event to take the whole family to? Look no further than the US Water Ski Show Team at the Long Lake Town Beach. On Saturday, July 18th, come out and witness pyramids, jumps, stunts and barefoot waterskiing! Demos begin at 10 a.m., with the main event beginning at 3 p.m.
Founded in 1968, the US Water Ski Show Team is based out of Scotia, N.Y., and has a proud history of over 40 years of exciting crowds across the northeast! This family oriented organization promises to knock your socks off with a high-caliber water ski show.
Crowds are invited to grab a beach towel, find a comfy spot, and enjoy this showcase held along the waterfront from Long Lake Town Beach to Helms Aero Plane Base. Free parking is available at the Long Lake Central School parking lot located on School Street off of Main Street, Route 30, and along Becker Road behind the Town Hall. Spectators are asked not to use St. Henry’s parking lot as services are scheduled at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
In addition to Waterski demo’s starting at 10am there will be a Cardboard Box Boat Building and Float Competition on the Beach starting at 11am with the Float Off at 1pm. The Town will provide one roll of duct tape and cardboard, but participants welcome to bring their own pre-built boat, but it must not have any floatation devices or plastic in the boat. Pure cardboard and tape only to keep it a level playing field. This tradition now in its 6th year is not to be missed entertainment and helps round out a spectacular beach day in Long Lake!
There will be a shuttle service running throughout the afternoon for those folks who have to park in our outer lots. Wave it down and it will stop and pick you up! Call 518-480-6646 for a ride!
